Howdy!

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself, I am Robert James Carmack, although I have always preferred being called Bob. I was born in Akron, Ohio as a later addition to the baby-boomer generation. It was a simpler time to be a kid, and I had what I would refer to as an idyllic childhood. As a child I was a daydreamer and loved books. I could get lost reading H.G. Wells, Robert Louis Stevenson, Agatha Christie or many, many others. My love of reading continued on into my adult life, but I never gave much thought to writing myself. It was not until I had reached the advanced age of fifty and battling insomnia that I attempted to write. The result was a book titled, Protégé.
I quickly moved on to another story titled, Crime Wave. I then completed a sequel to Protégé, and then took a stab at science fiction with, 2115:Salvation. After retirement and a move to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I completed my latest book, Clan Cormac. Clan Cormac is featured here on this website. I have yet another book complete and ready for publishing, and I have a collection of short stories ready to go as well. I plan to post some of my short stories here on my blog, so stay tuned.
I hope that you enjoy your reading adventures, and can lose yourself inside the stories you read.
Thank you,
Bob
